November Market Catchup

While Saturday wasn’t the warmest day on record, it certainly warmed this Carroteers heart! Last Saturday the market was the largest it’s been in quite a while- 21 stalls!! The committee and supporters of the market have been hard at work attracting new stallholders and we certainly have gotten some interesting new stalls! From a hot food perspective, we have the new, and different, Wok it Man- Asian street food, served with a smile and the freshest ingredients! We also had Connollys, a local wine merchant, warming us with their divine mulled wine on the day. The blog will be doing features on our stallholders individually over the next few months! Alongside these new stalls we also had Caribbean patties, the most delicate macaroons, and all of our usual stallholders too!

While the market is mostly food based, serving everything from gourmet tea to high welfare lamb, to Italian fare made in Warwickshire, we also try to reach out to our creative community in the months before Christmas, to bring local small businesses the chance to have a stall and showcase their fantastic wares! This month we had captivating clocks, marvellous mosaics, pretty pictures and joyous jewellery on display. This Carroteer was enthralled by the clocks; the intricate work that goes into each one is truly beautiful! December’s market will also feature some craft stalls, ideal for picking up a couple of gifts, along with your jewellery and quality food purchases!
